How to get rid of fried hair?

So at the end of january I got my hair cut and the guy cut it all off... now that I've been taking vitamins my hair has grown back again... still not as long as it was but pretty close. For my birthday last month, I got my hair highlighted all over I went from a medium brown to this blonde color. The lady left the dye on my hair for about an hour and my hair is totally fried, not to mention it looks like crap because she did a horrible job on the highlights. I'm thinking about going back to my natural hair color because I cannot stand the way it looks, I think it would help the friedness too. What else can I do to get my hair soft again? I have to straighten my hair because its not curly or straight its natrually this ugly frizzy mess. Please help.

The only way to fix this is to cut off the dead stuff. It sucks, but it needs to be done.

try to not blow dry ur hair too much w/ hot air. and I would say don't dye it back to ur natural color, just let it grow back, cuz dying it would make it even worse. And use conditioner and leave it in your hair for about two minutes everytime

Getting rid of fried hair is never easy, but I dye my hair a lot as well. And I use biosilk therapy shampoo and it keeps my hair really soft. Also before you straighten your hair, spray a produckt called Kenra on it.It protects your hair and smells good too :] Hope this works for you

Before you cut anything off try L'oreal's ineral hair fixer. You can buy it off amazon.

When you go back to a really dark color the fried look will be less obvious for the time being. But you should probably get some really good repairing shampoo. Don't even have to go to a salon. There's some good ones on the shelves at the stores like Dove...

Cut it off, and start over. Dying your hair a lighter color can fry it, like you did. If you cut it and darken it, it will just leave a deposit on you hair and can actually be good for it.

Before you cut it all off you can try these things and see what works for YOUR hair.

(Everyone's hair is different.)

1) Try olive oil and a little heat. Let it sit awhile before washing it out.

2) Dont' wash your hair with shampoo for a while. Instead, try washing it with conditioner ONLY.

(This really helped mine.)

3) Sleep with a hair "mask" of conditioner on your head (wrapped in plastic and a towel.)

4) Only rinse your hair with COLD water. It will seal it and make it smoother.

5) Ojon makes a great hair repair called their "Restorative Hair Treatment." Expensive, but good.

6) A leave in conditioner should help as well.

Be patient. It's still in trauma from the chemicals.

More chemicals will just make it worse, so don't dye it back.

You CAN put an herbal rinse on it if you like.

this will sound like a joke but i am here to tell you its not! i did the exact same thing. my friends mom is an older hair dresser %26amp; this is what she told me.

get the cheapest mayo (not salad dressing) , put it on your hair , wrap to keep the heat in. you can leave it on i/2 to 1 hr.(up to you)

shampoo with shampoo for gray hair.(this softens also)

rinse, then, rinse with apple vinegar leave on 3-5 minutes then rinse. the vinegar will not harm your hair

you won't believe the difference %26amp; its a cheap alternative to a lot of other things they will try to sell you at the salon

good luck!!
