What kind of haircut should I get?

Hiya, there. :) My hair desperately needs..well..a new haircut. I got bangs a little bit ago, and they're now at the tip of my nose. I have some split-ends, etc..so yeah. I'm also 14; and I have a lot of freckles on my face. I have medium-length hair that's dark brunette. Cutting it short is not an option...at all. No shaving it off. O: No mohawk. I'm growing it out for formal this next school year, so I don't want to cut it short. I also have an oval face. There's a website with a haircut I like: http://www.bosshairstyles.com/medium-hai... get long sidebangs....they'll make your face look pretty and long. i agree - dont go short. also, layer it (but just a little!) and it will go well with the sidebangs.

Try looking at the celebrity hairstyles at www.beautyriot.com or www.hairpedia.com. I would say that the picture you have above isn't good for letting your hairstylist know what you want. It's really curly so you cant tell how long it actuallly is and it is clipped back so you can't tell how the bangs are cut. Maybe you can find better pictures at the sites I gave you. Hope I helped!

When you go to get it cut, just tell them that you want to keep your length, just trim it. If you want go with a few long layers. Layers help build volume and give a good look. Just don't go with a lot of layers, just a few. For your bangs now, if your wanting to grow them longer go for it, just get them angled toward your face. Also, if you can pull it off, go with the sweep bang. If your bangs come to your nose it's perfect for the sweep bang. I would take a few ideas along to the salon with you and get their input. It all depends on the shape of your face. If you don't want to do any of that, keep in mind that subtle hi-lights and low-lights make a difference. Good luck!
