Before you straighten your hair, wash it and apply leave-in conditioner.

Don't straighten or wash it too often.

Damaged hair??? HELP!?

first of all make your hair nice and smooth by leaving conditioner on for 2 min in the shower...it will make your hair nice and smooth....constantly comb it as it air drys and it will be alot straighter...if u want it wavy put it up after u shower in a bun...when it drys undo the bun and you will have loose pretty waves

Damaged hair??? HELP!?

When you're going to put heat in your hair, use a protective. If you blow-dry use Matrix's smooth blow dry creme. If you flat iron, use their iron smoother. Use high-quality salon products. Also try roller-setting more than blow-drying. I Do protein treatments. They will know when you'll need them. Condition your hair with high-quality deep conditioners such as Biolage's Ultra-Hydrating Balm/Creme.

Take supplements but if after 3 months you feel they aren't working, stop. Some people's bodies' can't metabolize synthetic nutrients as well as others. That's why you'll see some people swear by supplements and some others swear they don't work. My hair grows fast (which is also partly genetic) but supplements have made it even healthier and grow faster. I take GNC's ultranourishair, Biotin, and MSM.

Wrap your hair at night, it helps keep it moisturized and if you don't at least sleep on a satin pillowcase.

I think I've covered everything but if you need any more help, just ask!

Damaged hair??? HELP!?

I usually straightened my hair also until I realized it really ruins your hair. now I usually scrunch it, I use mousse and gel and a little hair spray. If your hair isn't naturally wavy, then buy hot rollers or rollers to sleep in.

Damaged hair??? HELP!?

you cant scrunch it after you take a shower and your hair is damp. then use jell and flip scrunch your hair up. then use lots of hairspray. it should be scrunched all day and its a really cute look. while its scrunched you could put it half way back which looks better. alot of girls in my high school have also been braiding 2 long braids on each side then a half up look in the front

Damaged hair??? HELP!?

just start putting it up or in braids or pig tails

and myabe you should jsut wear it natural

Damaged hair??? HELP!?

instead of stritening it try scrunching it up...new look and it will give ur har time to heal....try using the least amount of heat wen dealing with ur hair...intensive amounts of heat will kill it..... and another thing is that it matters how u got ur hair cut..if its long then there are many ways to fix it up to make it cute but if its short....then u still have options but u cant really put it up...go to yahoo and search for latests hairstlyes.... it should help :]

Damaged hair??? HELP!?

is u use a flat iron, try not to pass it throught the ends of your hair [its really doesn't make a difference with how it looks and you're not torturing your ends] get a deep conditioning treatment.

Damaged hair??? HELP!?

鈥?Mix 1 tablespoon Honey and any type of vegetable oil. Distribute mixture evenly all over the hair.

鈥?Apply olive oil all over your hair. Cover with a shower cap and let it stay for 20 minutes. For extra conditioning take a warm shower while waiting. The heat will help the oil work to its maximum potential.

鈥?Beat one egg, add 3 tablespoons of water and apply to scalp and hair.

The oils add shine to your hair and the egg adds protein

hope this helps :)

Damaged hair??? HELP!?

Damaged hair??? HELP!?

well im 14 too and i straiten my hair all the time and it is pritty damaged also ...what i do so that i dont compleatly ruin my hair is get some moose and skrunch it and clip it up and then stick a cute bow in it...you should like it

Damaged hair??? HELP!?

I straighten my hair everyday too! I have medium hair. and I dye it constantly. What I do is, I use the shampoo and conditioner hello hydration, and even though I straighten my hair, I have naturally really curly hair and use the moose and spray, strictly curls, then i dry it curly, then i straighten with a CURLING IRON, and the heat goes up to 30. and then go over it with a pink straightener from beauty first. hope this helps.

Damaged hair??? HELP!?

well first you should repair the damage the striaghtening has done. the very best stuff is pretty expesnive, about 15 or 20 dollars, but its worth it! its called matriz condioning balm and it reapirs sry, stressed, damaged hair. i love it! and i'm sure if you look in the hair aisle, you'll find tons of shampoos/conditioners that are meant to repair damage. also, cheaper alternative is sunsilk shampoo. i've seen the commercials and im not sure which color it is, but it will help your hair. a cute thing to do is to take a shower, and comb your hair, and before it starts curling, comb it straight and put it in tight braids when its sitll pretty damp. sleep on it and take it out in the morning, it looks really cute. it sort of kinks and waves.

Damaged hair??? HELP!?

here are some home remedies which are very good for dry hair. i had dry hair myself but when i tried these tips it was great! they've never been dry again!

Dont go out and buy anything expensive.

First: Purchase a mild Shampoo (To Clarify hair, I will explain why)

Second: TRIM your hair ends (May 1 1/2 to 2 inches)

Third: Here's the magic part: Mix olive oil, almond oil, coconut oil, avocado oil and a "little" honey, (honey u will have to heat so it can blend). Either leave on ALL day or all night (if all nite, DONT use honey)

Beat up on an Egg: Separate the white of an egg from the yolk, and whip the white thoroughly. Then add 1 tablespoon of water to the yolk and blend until the mixture is creamy. Next, mix the white and yolk together. Wet your hair with warm water, remove the excess moisture, and apply the egg mixture to your scalp with your fingertips. Massage gently until the froth is worked into your scalp, and then rinse the hair with cool water. Keep applying the mixture until it is used up. Continue to rinse until all of the egg is washed away

Go for the Mayo: Heat up one half cup of mayonnaise until it becomes an oily, white goo and apply to dry, unwashed hair. Cover your hair with a plastic bag and leave on for at least 15 minutes. Then, rinse and shampoo thoroughly.

Mix up a Tropical Treat: Mash one over-ripe banana (the blacker, the better) with a mushy, rotten avocado. Massage this exotic puree into your hair and leave on for at least 15 minutes before washing out鈥n the kitchen sink!).

Grab a Cold One. Beer can give your dry hair a healthy sheen. Before you blow-dry or style, use a pump bottle to spray brew onto your hair. The beer will leave your hair shiny and sleek and its odor will disappear quickly.

In addition to using these home remedies regularly to avoid dry hair, try the following preventative measures:

Avoid overshampooing. Shampooing can wash away the hair's protective oils, so try washing less often and use a mild shampoo labeled "for dry or damaged hair."

Condition regularly. Conditioners protect the hair鈥檚 cuticle layer from splitting from the shaft. Pick a conditioner that works well for your hair and use it after every shampoo.

Wear a hat. Too much exposure to wind and sun can leave hair thirsty.

Trim off split ends. The biggest problem caused by dry hair is split ends. Schedule a trim every six to eight weeks to keep fraying ends under control.

Ease up on the heat. Heat (in the form of blow dryers, as well as straightening and curling irons) can quickly dry out hair. Let your hair air dry occasionally. Try using plastic cylinder rollers to straighten hair by wrapping slightly moist hair under and around rollers for about 10 minutes. For curling, try using sponge rollers overnight or sleeping with moist braids.

Don't swim without a cap. Use a rubber cap to protect your hair from the damaging effects of chlorine. If you must forgo a cap, rub a spoonful of olive oil into your hair before diving in.

Another thing is also putting in lotion in your hair after you have gotten out of the shower and you can also put in lotion in hair after you have dried it.

Just rub some lotion on your finger tips and run it through your hair evenly.

Also, something that will help your hair is to take COLDshowers. What most people dont know is that if you take hot showers, the heat gets rid of the oils and other things that your hair needs to be kept healty and shiney.

Smash an avocado and mix with jojoba and peppermint oils. Make sure its really smooth you may want to put it in a food processor with a little water. Then apply some to your scalp and the rest on your hair. Massage for a minute or so then put on a plastic cap. Leave for 15 to 30 minutes. The avocado and jojoba oils will moisterize and the peppermint will stimulate your scalp to loosen any dead skin and open your pores. It will feel great. Your hair will grow better and won't be dry. :)

Hope this helps!
