I need help finding a color of shirt and tie that matches me!?

I have the hardest time finding a shirt and tie that I think looks good on me or in fact match each other. What color shirt and tie do you think would match a Calvin Klein three button brown/tan mini-herringbone sport coat? The coat has a blue, gold and rust windowpane overlay. I am going to wear this coat with black slacks. I know that a shirt and tie color could be picked based on hair, skin and eye color but I have the worst time with colors that look good on me. I have clean cut dark black hair, brown eyes and light to medium tan skin (light skinned hispanic). I am a big man as well so anything that can make me look alittle slimmer would help. Can anyone help me find a shirt tie combination that works for me and especially this sport coat?
