Semi-Permanent Color Mishap! HELP!!!?

So my hair is naturally a lighter/medium brown with blonde undertones...my hiar is dyed/highlighted a light blonde with dark burgundy highlights in the back under my hair. For halloween i decided to buy a semi permanent crimson red color to make my red stand out more, wellll i put a few too many strands in and some got on my blonde hair..and now its tooooo much red and it looks like crap!! how can i just remove the red/pinkish tone from those few strands without taking away my blonde hair underneath?! I had some strands fixed by a salon adn they dyed it a darker blonde but that color already faded and the pink is now showing thru again! I just want it gone...I have pretty long hair and cutting is NO option here! Please help!!!!

get a wig! your hair is going to get damaged fast if you keep 'fixing it'. If you've been doing all that to your hair it's no wonder it reacted that way.

wash with head and shoulders - its what salons use to fade hair dye quicker.

other than redying your hair just keep washing - it does fade over time :)

I would go to the hairdresses as when you put such a dramatic colour on like that it might only grow out. I know you used a semi permanent but its a big difference to your natural colour. If you dont want to go to the hairdresses full stop then the only thing you could do is to bleach it out.

If you tey to dye it out it just wont work, Even with a permenent blonde.

You can go to any local salon and get your hair stripped. It is a little expensive but works great. They will actually get you right down to your natural color.

One option would be to bleach over the red/pink pieces that you want to be blonde. it can be very damaging to your hair though, depending on what it's like now. otherwise, the pink/red will fade, as it is the fastest fading color.. you could try also covering it with an ash to cancel out the red, but you cant lighten it.

try head and shoulders or ZP11 shampoo they tend to take colour out of hair rather quickly, i used them after i dyed my hair and had to stop using them and had to recolour it.

Go to a salon and have them re highlight your at the spots where it turned pink, have them do it as close to the original color as possible and when your hair grows out you wont be able to tell a difference.

I know it's no use saying it now but when your original brown hair was hi-lited the bleaching process would have made the hair really porous and it therefore absorbs any other dye really quickly - and it's very difficult to shift. Some people have recommended the stronger shampoos but although these do fade colour I'm not sure if they will shift this semi-permanent from already bleached hair.

Invest in a good salon specialising in colouring if you can't live with this - your hair is in grave danger of being seriously damaged if you try any more 'quick fixs'. They may advise bleaching it one shade further (depending upon your hair's current condition) and this should hopefully take it out. If they don't recommend further bleaching then don't go in search of someone who will as you may get rid of the pink but have hair like straw. Don't worry, though, but do get good professional advice.

you can go to a salon and ask for a wipeout which will strip the dye out of your hair , it works!

and you can get your colour back to normal straight away rather than waiting months for it to grow out
